VenueScanner, the UK’s leading shared marketplace for venues and events, has today launched in Manchester to kick-off its national roll-out.

The website, which makes finding and booking any venue quick, simple and affordable, previously existed solely near London. However, due to increased demand it has now expanded into Manchester as its first regional city, where it currently offers over 500 local venues, including Hotel Football, Twenty Twenty Two, Halle St Peters, Victoria Warehouse and the Bridgewater Hall Auditorium.

Founded by e-commerce experts Rebecca Kelly and Benjy Meyer, VenueScanner is built around one simple mission – to make venue discovery, search and booking as easy as Amazon makes shopping.

As an automation and data-led business, VenueScanner saves on employee costs and thus has the lowest commission fees per booking on the market.

Having developed a loyal customer base in the form of the Personal Assistant, the site boasts a choice of over 10,000 venues, ranging from universities, museums and schools, to pubs, community buildings and hotels, and many more.

Its launch in Manchester comes at a time when PAs across the city will begin considering venues for office Christmas parties – something which VenueScanner has seen a huge demand for.

Benjy Meyer, VenueScanner co-founder, said:

“We’re delighted to officially launch VenueScanner in Manchester. It’s a city with some incredible venues, large and small, many of which are unknown or barely discoverable online. We’re here to help people tap into this unlocked potential with a quick, simple and affordable service. We’re adding new venues to the platform every day and are excited by what’s to come.
