The Renaissance Manchester City Centre is preparing to bring some of the region’s top talent together for Manchester Fest, a celebration of Manchester’s arts and artisan culture with music, locally inspired cocktails and food, all celebrating what makes our city so special.

Entertainment at the Renaissance Hotel in Manchester starts at 6pm with Salford’s Anita Ryan bringing her soulful voice crafted through private vocal tuition at the Manchester School of Music. This will be followed at 8pm by internet sensation Kelly Kiara who has amassed over 12 million YouTube views of her version of Justin Biebers ‘Love Yourself’ that expresses a women’s response his original hit. Following her internet success, Kelly has gained global media interest and is widely tipped to be on the verge of big things in music as a solo artist.

Completing the line-up are the Gypsies of Bohemia who will be bringing their unique acoustic jazz with some foot stomping versions of modern pop favourites like you’ve never heard them before. The three piece Manchester band are still flying high after releasing their debut studio album, ‘Gyp Pop’ taking time out to entertain crowds at the Renaissance Manchester.

To support the evening’s entertainment, the celebration of Manchester continues with Forest Gin, from the award winning distillery in Macclesfield Forrest who will be running an exclusive tasting, all supported by local food from the skilled chefs at the Renaissance Manchester City Centre.

Following his recent acclaimed exhibition, local artist Richard Cowley has produced a one off piece of photo collage art which he will be unveiling at the event celebrating the Evenings at Renaissance events over the years.

General Manager of the Renaissance Manchester, Cameron Mcneillie, added; “Evenings at Renaissance is a calendar of free events that allow guests and visitors to participate in intriguing and relevant business unusual experiences celebrating Manchester’s food, drink, music, arts and culture. Manchester Fest, and the Global Day of Discovery events around the world, are the ultimate celebration of this with Manchester Fest celebrating everything that makes us all so proud of Manchester as our home.”

Renaissance Hotels believes business travel is always an opportunity to discover. This philosophy is described as Business Unusual, by which every stay is designed to defy the notion of “conventional” business travel by helping guests to uncover local, unexpected experiences. At Renaissance Hotels, a guest’s trip is about much more than the 9 to 5, it’s about making time for the #5to9, with a world of local music, art and culinary discoveries.

Global Day of Discovery’s fifth anniversary will kick off with a signature bar ritual centred on local craft beverages curated by the hotel bartender and local beverage experts. The bar ritual is the signal that the 9-to-5 working day is over and it is time to transition into an incredible evening of discovery and celebrate the #5to9.
