A man has been charged after Police raided a house on Orme Close, Beswick, after receiving intelligence from members of the community yesterday morning.

Liam Nemeneh 47, of Orme Close, Beswick has been charged with possession with the intent to supply Spice and is due to appear at Manchester City Magistrates today.

20 small snap bags of the new psychoactive substance Spice and £500 in cash were recovered by police, alongside a handwritten pricing list for the buying and selling of Spice and scales that are commonly used in drug supply.

The forty eight year old woman who was arrested at the same time had been released without charge.

This was part of the Challenger Manchester Team’s ongoing mission to target organised crime.

Detective Inspector Paul Walker, of GMP’s Challenger Manchester Team said: “By executing the warrant this morning, we have prevented a large amount of this detrimental substance from reaching the streets of Greater Manchester.

“We have the community to thank for this excellent result, because we wouldn’t have been able to take this action without you raising your concerns.

“We will continue to work alongside the communities and our partners to target those who make a living out of crime.”
