The family of a man who died in a collision in Belle Vue has paid tribute to him.
30-year-old Michael Pilkington from Haughton Green was riding a Suzuki motorbike when he collided with a car on Hyde Road, close to the junction with Redgate Lane in Belle Vue yesterday morning
Emergency services attended and attempted to treat the driver of the motorbike at the scene before he was taken to hospital where he sadly died.
Paying tribute to him, his family said: “Michael was a loving father to his beautiful son and daughter, partner to Jade, son to his parents John and Lindsay and brother to Natasha and Scott.
“We are struggling to come to terms with the sudden loss of our beloved Michael and ask to be allowed to grieve as a family at this time.”
