The family of a woman who died in Oldham has paid tribute to her.

Police found the body of 23 year-old Corinne Nicole Hayes at at Cherry Street in Oldham in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Paying tribute to Corinne, her mum, Mandy Hayes her and sister, Gemma Hayes, said: “Corinne was a massive inspiration to us and many others.

“She was not only our daughter and sister but our soulmate too!

“Life won’t ever be the same again, our hearts are broken and all we have now are our memories together and they’ll live on in us forever.

“There was so much love and laughter; there was never a dull day when she was around.

“She was a strong independent woman who worked hard for everything she had and we were all sooo proud of her.

“She had a bright future ahead of her and everything to look forward to and we will love and miss her always.”

A 33-year-old man was detained under the mental health act and two other men, both aged 28, were arrested on suspicion of murder and have since been released under investigation.

Police are re-appealing for anyone with information to come forward.

Detective Inspector Kenny Blain of GMP’s Oldham borough said: “Reading the tributes from her family, it is apparent how much Corinne was loved and what a devastating time this is for her family, which makes it all the more frustrating for us that we cannot provide them with the answers they so desperately need at this time.

“We need people to come forward with information so we can piece together the events and begin building answers for Corinne’s family.”

Paying tribute to Corinne, her brother, Ryan Hayes, said: “Corinne was the life and soul of the party, always smiling and joking.

“Together we were trouble, she wasn’t just my sister, she was my best friend and my life will never be the same.

“I will try and keep the party going for her.”

Paying tribute to Corinne, her uncle, David Hayes, said: “Corinne was an incredible, adorable, lovable, perfectly beautiful, powerful young woman.

“She was the most perfect niece an uncle could wish for.

“She was a real blessing to my life and will be so sadly missed.

“I will always love you, Corinne, now rest in peace xxx.

“If love could have saved you, you would have lived forever xxx”

Paying tribute to Corinne, her best friend, Sarah Bradbury, said: “I had the privilege to have Corinne as my best friend for nearly 20 years.

“She was my best friend, my soul mate and my rock throughout everything! She made us live life to the fullest and she’d pick me up and guide me wherever I went wrong.

“I’ll love you always, this is not a goodbye, this is I’ll see you again soon.

“Sweet dreams my baby G!”
