The Garden at Leftbank officially launched last week welcoming people from near and far to enjoy the newly developed urban green space.
The launch was an opportunity to invite residents and visitors to enjoy this newly developed public area of Spinningfields, where casual and independent food and drink sit alongside a tranquil garden and waterfront setting.

The New Year will see The Garden welcome slient movie nights, pop-up activity and seasonal supper clubs, as well as seasonal sporting events such as Wimbledon and the 2016 Olympics shown on the outdoor screen.

The Garden will be open year round and will provide much-needed city green space as well as a place for people to enjoy Leftbank’s brilliant food offerings, including The Kitchens, Dockyard and Scene.

Spinningfields Estates Director Chris Reay, said “Leftbank will build upon the existing Spinningfields community and become a vibrant and exciting neighbourhood location for Manchester. The Garden will provide people with an area which is theirs to use and enjoy as Spinningfields continues to flourish.”

Leftbank is home to The Kitchens street-food traders who have been battling it out with their culinary arts, since May 2015 in competition to win a permanent home at Spinningfields.

Leftbank will continue to pioneer Manchester’s evolution, alongside the XYZ building and No.1 Spinningfields which will open on site in 2016 and 2017 respectively.
