The festive season will be in full swing at New Bailey this week, with a two-day Christmas Bazaar jam packed with hot street food, mulled wine and an array of artisan gift stalls.

Everyone is welcome to the event which will run between 12-6pm on Thursday 29 and Friday 30 November in New Bailey’s public realm, with Christmas carol performances from the Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM) Choir to set the tone, and the opportunity to pick up some unique gifts along the way.

New Bailey sits adjacent to Spinningfields, just a short walk from Salford Central train station and is being delivered by The English Cities Fund, a joint venture between Muse Developments, Legal & General and Homes England.

Phil Mayall, regional director at The English Cities Fund, said: “It’s been another exciting year at New Bailey, with work progressing on a number of new developments and welcoming many new residents to the second phase of The Slate Yard, so we’re looking forward to rounding off the year with the Christmas Bazaar.

“Manchester is well known for its Christmas markets and this year we wanted to bring some of that unique festive atmosphere across the River Irwell into Salford to New Bailey and celebrate in our own way. The pop-up street food markets we’ve held in the past were really popular and we hope to see the same again as we embrace the festive season.”

Along with special stocking fillers such as artisanal gifts for foodies, jewellery, vegan soaps and much more, there will also be a photobooth on-site where visitors will be able to get keep-sake Christmas photos free of charge on the first day of the Bazaar.

The RNCM Choir will be in attendance on Thursday lunch time and Friday after 5pm.

The Christmas Bazaar will be located at New Bailey, next to Menagerie and adjacent to Spinningfields.
