Fundraising platform, Wonderful.org, has today announced a new partnership with Europe’s leading cancer centre, The Christie in Manchester.
Wonderful.org is the only fundraising site which ensures charities receive 100 per cent of donations as the philanthropic organisation covers all costs, including card processing fees, through corporate sponsors.
The announcement cements a relationship which will see the leading hospital and research centre take the role of headline charity for Wonderful.org’s virtual fundraising event, ‘The Wonderful Week’, which will take place 2 – 10 September. The event will be fronted by Phil and Julie Neville, who will be participating as a family and have pledged to cover a distance of 100 miles.
Anybody can take part, and participants are being urged to clock up the virtual miles whether it be running, cycling, swimming or even walking, all in the name of their chosen charity and under the reassurance that all donations will go directly to the intended cause.

“We treat more than 44,000 patients each year, with the number continuing to grow – so we are looking forward to receiving 100 per cent of donations made through Wonderful, as every penny really does make a difference.”
Founder of Wonderful.org Kieron James, who will be taking part in the Great North Run to raise money for The Christie charity said: “We’re looking forward to working with The Christie charity to launch the Wonderful Week, ensuring all donations raised go directly to the hospital.
“We charge nothing at all, make no deductions from Gift Aid and through the generosity of corporate sponsors, we cover all debit and credit card transaction fees.”
Wonderful.org was launched earlier this year as part of a continued crusade by Kieron to make millions more pounds for charities.
The platform, which uses the strapline ‘Don’t Just Give… Be Wonderful’, will also be free from card processing charges as Call Collective, the conferencing company which Kieron founded, will cover the cost. The pledge will allow the first million pounds of charity donations to be processed and paid in full to the charities. After this, transaction fees and all other costs will continue to be met by corporate sponsors.
