The Met Office have issud a warning of strong winds across the region from 6.00pm tonight until 6.00pm tomorrow as the latest of this winter’s storms heads for the region.

Storm Eleanor, the fifth named storm of the winter, is forecast to arrive with gusts of 60 to 70 mph likely, with stronger winds possible in some areas of the west coast.

The latest forecast from the Met Office for the region says that heavy rain will clear through the evening with heavy, blustery showers following. The wind will become very strong with Minimum temperature 4 °C.

Tomorrow will be a very windy day with gales in exposures  and showers, these heavy at times, moving across the region from the west. Maximum temperature 9 °C.
