Stockport’s Naomi Broady won her first WTA title in the doubles at the Monterrey Open.

She partnered  Spain’s Sara Sorribes beating Mexico’s Giuliana Olmos and Desirae Krawczyk of the USA 3-6 6-4 10-8.

The American/Mexican pairing got off to the best start, breaking the Brit/Spaniard and taking the lead. Broady/Sorribes Tormo however fought back well in the second set to level up, and force a match tie break to decide where the trophy would go.

After exchanging breaks the Brit/Spaniard edged the final set to take the title 3-6, 6-4, 10-8.

The world number 134, will be looking to make a big impression in the grass-court season
