Stockport Indie Band, the Blossoms  will be hoping to follow in the footsteps of the Arctic Monkeys, Ed Sheeran, Bastille and Sam Smith previous winners of the Brits best newcomers award.

The band have been nominated along with Anne-Marie,  Rag’n’Bone Man, Skepta and Stormzy for the awards which will be announced on the 22nd February.

The past year has seen Blossoms play live to sold out venues and packed festival tents across the UK and Europe. They have already appeared at Glastonbury, Field Day, Bilbao BBK, Rock Werchter, The Great Escape, T in the Park, Parklife, Kendal Calling and Isle of Wight Festival.

Blossoms released their self-titled debut album in August 2016, the best selling debut album of the year, and supported The Stone Roses at their huge Manchester Etihad Stadium gigs last year.The group are already working on their second record and will play their biggest shows to date on the tour in March, including a London show at the iconic Roundhouse
