Four men, four bikes and a two thousand mile adventure. After a hugely successful inaugural tour last summer, the four-strong, all-male HandleBards company are back on their bikes and cycling the UK.

Tonight and tomorrow they park their wheels in the stunning grounds of Ordsall Hall where on just four bicycles they will carry all the necessary set, props, costumes and camping equipment to perform two of Shakespeare’s greatest plays, The Comedy of Errors and Macbeth.

The HandleBards do Shakespeare differently, using bikes to power various surprises and contraptions on stage, whilst playing all the parts in Director James Farrell’s wild 1930s indie-folk romp.

Gates open at 6.00pm for a 7.00pm start.
Visitors are welcome to bring a picnic but all drinks should be bought from the cafe within the Hall.
Performance to be held in the Ordsall Hall gardens (weather permitting).
Bring a low-packed chair, rug or cushions. Please do not bring umbrellas as they make it difficult to hear and block sight-lines.
Tickets can be purchased by either phoning Ordsall Hall on 0161 872 0251 or online via the Ticketline.
