A rescue dog at Dogs Trust Manchester with a heart-shaped marking on his side, is hoping he finds true love in time to lap up all the TLC on offer on Valentine’s Day.

Three-year-old Greyhound, Romeo, has attracted the attention of all the team at the Denton-based rehoming centre, and not just because of his distinctive marking.

Dawn Bishop, Manager at Dogs Trust Manchester, says:

“Romeo really does have a lot of love to give. He is so friendly and he gets really excited whenever he sees you, so when we spotted the distinctive heart-shaped marking on his side, it seemed very fitting. He is bursting with affection so there’s definitely as much love on the inside as he’s showing on the outside!”

Romeo, an ex-racer, arrived at Dogs Trust Manchester earlier this month and is ready to head off to his forever home. He would love to be at the heart of an active family and would like a secure garden where he can run around to his heart’s content.

Dawn says:

“He will be such a wonderful addition to any family. He can live with children over the age of eleven and could potentially live with another Lurcher or Greyhound, but not cats or small furries because of his racing background.

“He really is a beautiful boy so we’re hoping he finds true love soon.”
