Award-winning Manchester agency, Purple Riot Marketing, has picked up a CIPR PRide North West Gold award, and a new client that is set to benefit from its bold creative ideas and marketing strategy.

In an award ceremony held at the city’s stunning Principal Hotel, the team from Purple Riot were awarded with the Gold award for Best Not For Profit Campaign, for The Empty Shop at Manchester Arndale.

The charity fashion initiative asks people to donate preloved clothing in aid of local charities,Mustard Tree and vInspired. Purple Riot has worked with Manchester Arndale for four years, providing PR, media relations, social media and event management for the project.

The creative agency has also picked up a new high profile client. The team will be managing socialmedia campaigns for Street Cars, Manchester’s leading private hire taxi supplier.

Nikki Kitchen, Director of Marketing at Purple Riot, commented: “We are thrilled to pick up the award for our work on The Empty Shop project. The Empty Shop achieved a record-breaking 2.5 tonnes of clothing donations in 2017, and we have consistently secured national and regional press coverage and social media engagement, smashing all targets.

The project is one of our favourites as it supports the brilliant work of two charities which benefit local people in Manchester, something we feel hugely passionate about, being a city centre business.

“We are also pleased to welcome Street Cars to the Purple Riot family. The business continues to grow at an exponential rate and that is again down to our fantastic, creative and hard working team.”

Purple Riot has also been shortlisted for six Talk of Manchester Business awards (TOMS),
including Best Full Service Agency.
