Police have released CCTV images after a woman was robbed at knifepoint at a hairdresser’s shop in Droylsden back in March.
On Saturday 25 March 2017, at about 4.45pm, a 43-year-old woman was working in the shop on Market street when a man entered, claiming that somebody was chasing him.

The woman asked him to leave but he produced a Stanley knife from his pocket and held it to her neck. He demanded that she opened the safe, which the victim did, and he fled with cash stuffed down his trousers, running onto Chapel Street.

Detective Constable Claire Robinson of GMP’s Tameside Borough said: “A woman was left terrified after being robbed at knifepoint and it is vital that we catch the person who did it.

“We have continued our investigation and have now released CCTV of a man we want to speak to, so if you know who it is please get in touch.”
