Police searching for missing John Clegg from Rochdale have released CCTV of his last known movements.

John Clegg, 60, was last seen by his work colleagues at Rothwell’s on Duke Street around midday on Saturday 29 September.

CCTV captured John walking along The Esplanade entering the underpass beneath St Mary’s Gate, leading to the Asda carpark and Dane Street in Rochdale at 2am on Wednesday 3 October .

He has not been seen since and police are hoping that the public may be able to provide more pieces to the puzzle.

John is white, of medium build, around 5ft 10ins tall with short, blond/grey hair and wears glasses.

In the CCTV he is seen to be wearing a green parka coat.

Detective Constable David Thornton of GMP’s Rochdale Borough, said: “We have been tracing John’s last known movements and we are hopeful that someone may have seen him and can help us find him.

“We don’t believe John has access to any money or a phone, which, considering how long he has been missing for now, is incredibly concerning.

“John’s family and friends are incredibly concerned for his welfare.

“If you see John or know where he is, please call us immediately – he may need help or medical attention.”
