The North Manchester neighbourhoods of Moston and Harpurhey are one of Fourteen communities across the UK that have been selected to receive a minimum of £200,000 funding over three years.

The money, funded by Spirit of 2012, a charity set up by the Big Lottery Fund to connect events to communities across the country, will be used to increase community participation and improve wellbeing and will be delivered and managed by Forever Manchester.

Fourteen is community led and each community will decide themselves how they want to increase participation in one or more of the following activities: social action & volunteering; grass roots sport & physical activity; culture activity & arts; and youth leadership & personal development.

Forever Manchester will shortly be working with the community to develop the community plan which will set out how the funds will be best delivered over the next 3 years, in line with Fourteen’s aims.
