Jet2CityBreaks is expanding its summer 2016 programme at Manchester Airport with the launch of another new destination, Naples City.

Three and four night breaks are available between 29th April and 26th October 2016. Packages, including twice-weekly flights with Jet2.com, a choice of two to five star hotels and 10kg baggage allowance, start from just £219 per person.

Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, said: “We are committed to growing our new Jet2CityBreaks offering from Manchester Airport and are thrilled to be launching another great short break destination for our loyal local customers. Naples is a fantastic city which I’m sure will be very popular.”

One of Naples City’s claim to fame is the Pizza Margherita, which is believed to have been invented there. Its historical city centre, a UNESCO world heritage site, boasts some of Europe’s finest archaeology and art where works by Botticelli, Michelangelo and even an Andy Warhol can be viewed.

Its year round programme of music, food, film and theatre events means there is something to suit all tastes from the ten day Napoli Film Festival in June to the Pizzafest in September. Must visit places include La Pignasecca Market (Naples’ oldest street market), Teatro San Carlo (Italy’s biggest and oldest opera house), Catacombe di San Gennaro, three spectacular castles (Castel dell’Ovo, Castel Nuovo and Castel Sant’Elmo) and the world famous Pompeii, which is an hour’s train journey away.
