Detectives have asked for help in piecing together exactly what happened to a man who was found in the street in Hulme with unexplained injuries in the early hours of Sunday morning.

The thirty seven year was found unconscious in the road on Clarendon Street, near to New Vine Street.

He had suffered a serious head injury and is currently being treated in hospital. His condition is currently described as serious but stable.

A scene was initially in place but this has now been closed.

Detectives are continuing to investigate this to try to establish the circumstances around this man’s injuries

Detective Inspector Mark Davis of City of Manchester Division has said,

“This person has suffered a serious head injury and was found in the middle of the road in the early hours. The circumstances of how he received his injury are yet to be established and the victim is not in a position to be able to tell us.

I would like to appeal for anyone who may have any information that may help the investigation to please get in touch with GMP on 101 or anonymously via crimestoppers.”
