A 35 year old arrested after a body of a women was found in Wigan on Saturday evening has been released without charge

Police were called to Thomas Street in Hindley Green, Wigan, by the North West Ambulance Service after they had been called out to the sudden death of a 28-year-old woman.

The circumstances surrounding the woman’s death raised suspicion and a 35-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of her murder, however he has now been released without charge.

A Home Office post mortem took place and the cause of the woman’s death is no longer believed to be suspicious.

‎Detective Chief Inspector Clare Devlin from GMP’s Wigan borough said: “We are no longer treating the tragic death of this woman as murder. We have released a 35-year-old man without charge.

The women, named locally as Natalie Brown had a history of illness.

Andy Brown, her father, took to Facebook to say that it had all been a big mistake and that his daughter, who had been a long-term epilepsy sufferer, must have died after a medical episode.
