Cuckoo, one of Manchester’s leading design, digital and branding agencies, is celebrating its most successful year to date, with turnover reaching £1,005,000 – a 22% increase on the previous year’s figures.

Established over 25 years ago, Cuckoo boasts a client portfolio of world-renowned national and international brands including Crown Plaza, Double Tree by Hilton, Muse Developments and Police Mutual. Throughout 2018 the business went from strength to strength, with five new client wins and three new team members appointed during the course of the year.

One of the new additions to Cuckoo’s client list was Milson Group, a professional services provider for land owners, property investors, financial institutions & developers. The agency was tasked with developing a brand identity for Milson Group, as well as the design and build of a new company website.

Other clients which appointed Cuckoo to deliver a variety of branding, collateral and web build projects throughout the year include Acumen, a company providing research methodologies throughout the UK and international markets, Alielle, a solutions provider for archives, libraries and museums, and Aspect Viewing Facilities, which offers clients the finest market research venues in the UK.

Cuckoo was also appointed by Rosa to support its product launch into the food industry, and 3EP, a company delivering commercial, pragmatic and far-reaching advice in Geotechnical and Environmental Site Investigation and Urban Regeneration Strategies.

Justine Wright, Managing Director at Cuckoo, said: “It’s testament to the team’s hard work and dedication to our clients that we’ve been able to reach the highest turnover figures in our 25-year history.

“We’re delighted to have had the opportunity to expand our client portfolio while continuing to deliver on projects for existing clients, enabling them to communicate more effectively with their customers and meet their business objectives.”

As well as a fantastic year from a results perspective, Cuckoo also moved into a new office space at Salford Quays after 25 years on Chapel Street. The move was centred around creating an environment that promotes productivity and wellbeing. The office overlooks the waterfront and is fully serviced allowing for flexible working, so employees can work how and when suits them best.

In line with the company’s growth throughout the year, there were also three key appointments within the team; Jordan Griffin joined the team as Creative Producer, Marianne Hoy has been appointed as Campaign Executive, and Nicki Brown joins as Digital Marketing Executive after graduating with a Master’s degree in journalism.

Justine added: “It’s important for clients to be surrounded by a team which is passionate about their work and consistently delivers on targets. This is why we recruited Marianne, Nicki and Jordan to enable us to keep up with growing demands while bringing new ideas and creativity to the team.

“Looking ahead into 2019 and beyond, hospitality and property are going to be major focuses for us going forwards. Our industry experience and breadth of knowledge in both sectors mean that it’s a natural fit for us to pursue these avenues to help towards the continued growth and success of the agency.”
