Salvi’s Corn Exchange has a treat in store for honey lovers with the launch of a special new menu featuring a range of dishes made with Manchester Cathedral’s Heavenly Honey.

The unique menu includes dishes such as beetroot ravioli filled with ricotta and honey in a roasted pine nut, honey and pancetta sauce, and luxurious Italian desert Struffoli – light fluffy dough balls drizzled with honey and a sprinkling of sugar.

Those with a sweet tooth can look forward to twists on classic flavours including Parma ham with figs and honey and a bruschetta with Gorgonzola and a delicious honey sauce.

Maurizio Cecco of Salvi’s was inspired to create the menu after he found himself on the roof of Manchester Cathedral surrounded by the beehives responsible for making Manchester Cathedral’s Heavenly Honey.

The Heavenly Honey will also be stocked in the Salvi’s Deli located in Corn Exchange and will be available in the exclusive Salvi’s Christmas Hampers. The honey produced by Manchester Cathedral is sold to raise funds for the Cathedral’s volunteer project Volition, which aims to support unemployed people in the city.
