A man will appear in court this morning charged with stabbing a surgeon while he was on his way to a Mosque in Hale on Sunday Evening.
Ian Anthony Rook aged 28 of no fixed abode has been charged with assault and possession of a lethal weapon.
A second man has been released with no further action.
Dr Nasser Kurdy aged 58 was stabbed in the back of his neck on Sunday evening as he made his way to Hale and Altrincham Muslim Association on Grove Lane.
Hex was taken to hospital, treated for his injuries and discharged from hospital shortly after.
