A 54-year-old year old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after the body of a women was found in a house in Chadderton yesterday.
Police were called to the house on Acorn Close yesterday evening to reports that the women in her forties had fallen.She was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
Detective Inspector Kenny Blain of GMP’s Oldham Borough, said: “This is an incredibly tragic incident and our thoughts and sympathies are with the family of the woman at this time.
“There are officers currently on the scene and they will be continuing their investigations throughout the day.
“If anyone has any information that could help with this investigation I would urge them to get in touch with police as soon as possible.”
