Lowry Outlet Makers Market returns this weekend – Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th October – with an array of quality artisan foods, drinks and award-winning craftsmen on the open-air Plaza area. Stallholders will be getting into the Halloween spirit, as stalls will be adorned with ghoulish themes and terrifying treats…or tricks!

Taking place every month until the end of the year, the markets offer award-winning local food, drink, and art and craft producers, with live music and much more. And this weekend is no exception, with more than 120 stallholders over the two days showcasing incredible artists, crafters, makers, bakers and quirky vintage finds.

During the weekend, shoppers can browse award-winning cheeses, pies from a selection of producers including Cumbrian, The Pie Life, All About Pies and Pudding and Pie, locally brewed ales, doorstop sized brownies from Treat Bake Shop, posh tarts, rustic breads from The French Corner, spicy sauces, locally produced jams, and chutneys from Daddy Cools and scrumptious marshmallows from Rainy City Bakery. Vegans and meat-eaters alike can indulge in offerings from Loving Foods, and raw foods from Raw Bake Station.

The street food area will be in full swing with fire pits and BBQ’s lit up to deliver a mouthwatering feast. There will be Bratwurst from In The Dog Haus, the best pizzas in town from Wood Fire And Smoke, Bao and Gyoza from Wallace and Sons, Middle Eastern delights from the Ottoman and sweet pancakes from Crepe Chateaux. Finish with a mulled wine from 18DBC wines.

Discover vintage trinkets and handmade crafts, plus Urban Photography from Ben Sedman, original artwork by Sarah Gregory and retro and music lead art by Salford artist, The No.71 Legends Room. Plus, there will be live music all day from The Loose Change Buskers who have now raised a staggering £300,000 for Cancer Research UK.

For those looking for some Halloween fun, Lowry Outlet is hosting FREE half-term Spooktacular activities including a Halloween Trail and a spine-chilling walk-through Forbidden Forest experience with real life spooky characters. Children who make it through the Forbidden Forest will be rewarded with sweet Halloween treats. The Forbidden Forest experience is recommended for children aged four plus.

Lowry Outlet centre manager Kelly Hurst, said: “The Lowry Outlet Makers Market has become a huge hit, last month the stalls were bustling with excitement as people enjoyed tasty treats, live entertainment and gourmet food and drink. This weekend has some fantastic producers selling amazing and unique products, many which can’t be found on the high street, from vintage trinkets and gorgeous handmade crafts to tantalizing food and drink producers.

“What’s more, we have our Halloween activities, which are proving hugely popular with our young visitors, including free pumpkin carving this weekend. Plus our Forbidden Forest is one of our most exciting experiences so far.”
