Manchester United Players dominate the list of their top ten with a combined net wealth of £111 million

Leading the way, England forward Wayne Rooney, the wealthiest English-born footballer in the English Premier League with an estimated net worth of £45 million according to a Wealth-X list that includes three other players from his team, Rio Ferdinand, Michael Carrick and Ashley Young who bring the combined net worth of these four teammates to £111 million.

At 35, Ferdinand and Frank Lampard from Chelsea are the oldest players on the list. The youngest is Manchester City midfielder James Milner, who is 27 years old, one year younger than Rooney and his teammate Ashley Young.

Rooney earns approximately £250,000 a week before taxes on his current contract, and also rakes in money from endorsement deals with companies including Nike and book publisher HarperCollins.

Chelsea striker Samuel Eto’o is the wealthiest foreign-born English Premier League (player with a net worth of £39 million.The
Cameroonian-born Eto’o signed a one-year deal with Chelsea in August 2013 for an undisclosed fee, although several media reports claimed he took a substantial pay cut to move to the English club from Russian football club, Anzhi Makhachkala.

Manchester City’s Yaya Toure is fourth highest with a net worth of £25m, just ahead of team-mate Sergio Aguero who is worth £24m
