Stockport Council in partnership with Stockport Homes celebrated the launch of the new and exciting housing development company ‘Viaduct Housing Partnership’ yesterday in Cheadle Hulme. The company has been set up to allow the Council and Stockport Homes to build as many affordable homes as possible.

Representatives came together at the innovative modular construction scheme ‘Cross Keys’ in Cheadle Hulme, as the first development to be completed under the new Viaduct Housing Partnership.

Cllr Sheila Bailey, Executive Member for Communities and Housing said “The launch of Viaduct Housing Partnership is a landmark event for Stockport. With the complete support of the Council and Stockport Homes, this partnership will provide the means by which affordable homes will be built, homes that people can actually afford to buy or rent.”

David Beckett, Chair of Viaduct, said “The launch of Viaduct is an important milestone – and we are looking forward to building modern and affordable housing in Stockport. I’m proud to be involved in this exciting new company and partnership with the Council, which focuses on quality and innovation.”
