Adam Flint and his wife and business partner, Maxine, have invested £100k in their first Flint + Flint concept skin clinic in Manchester’s Harvey Nichols.

The Nantwich based entrepreneur, who has ten years experience in the skincare business, launched his innovative range of products, Flint + Flint, in 2014 when the brand sprung on to the market with the claim that four out of five women don’t shower every day.

The products, which are made in the UK using ingredients entirely sourced in the UK, have become firm favourites for men and women looking for products that really work without the price tag or fussiness of the bigger brands.

In fact Flint + Flint products are now available in five countries across the world including the UK, Germany, Denmark and the USA. The brand, which sells of a range of 11 products, offers a money back guarantee to customers via its website and to date has not seen a single return.

Adam was inspired by the idea for the product range after working with clients at his clinic Skin Health Spa and finding that there were not the right products on the market to ensure the very best results.

Skin Health Spa has treated in excess of 1 million clients, delivering an average of 7k treatments a week. The business employs 70 people and has welcomed 30 babies into the world.

In 2013 he was accepted by Goldman Sachs and Manchester Metropolitan University on to their 10,000 Small Businesses programme. The course is an investment to help entrepreneurs create jobs and economic opportunity by providing greater access to education, capital and business support services. Adam built a network of peers and advisors who have supported him through his ambitious plan to take his unique product range to one of the UK’s most well-respected and high end retailers.

Having only opened late in 2016, Flint + Flint Harvey Nichols is proving a success with Manchester’s skin health conscious shoppers.

The ‘anti-spa’, as Adam refers to it, boasts a very cool and modern environment, not like the traditional bright white spa clinic. It was designed by North West bespoke designers Den Living using opulent, dark and moody colour ways with luxurious leather panelled walls, distinctive lighting, pop art inspired furniture, super cool graphics and graffiti, all from local artists.

It has been promoted with a heavy weight PR and marketing campaign from consultancy Down at the Social.

Adam Flint, co owner of Flint + Flint, said: “Opening our first Flint + Flint concept clinic in Harvey Nichols was a real coup. We had the infrastructure in place to open the doors quickly thanks to our Skin Health Spa business and felt that the Flint + Flint brand lent itself perfectly to the discerning Harvey Nichols audience.”

Adam and Maxine are now looking to the future with their sights set on a roll out for the brand.

Adam continues;”We can see our brands working in any town or city in the UK and are looking to help those wanting to set up their own business get a foot on the ladder by working with us. We think the anti-spa could make the perfect anti-franchise offering all the benefits of a ready made brand without any of the up front costs or restriction product prices.”
