Lancashire County Cricket Club has announced that it has extended its partnership with online electricals retailer AO.com for up to a further four years until 2021.

AO.com, is on a mission to become the best electrical retailer in Europe, and now joins Emirates, Hilton and Heineken as a principal partner at Lancashire County Cricket Club, with the new enhanced and extended partnership building upon a very successful and award-winning opening first two years.

The new agreement includes an extension of sponsoring the Club’s AO.com green Royal London One-Day Cup kit, new and exclusive naming rights of the hugely popular Family and Community Stand at Emirates Old Trafford, as well as the continuation and development of the popular ‘Best Delivery’ bowling activation as part of the Club’s Thunder and Lightning Roadshow across the entire North West region.

Daniel Gidney, Chief Executive at Lancashire County Cricket Club, said: “We are absolutely delighted that we have entered into an enhanced and extended partnership with AO.com.”

As part of the partnership, the Club will aim to connect its fast-growing fan-base from across the North West region, with AO.com and its market leading online retail operation, and price match promise.

The AO partnership extension follows Lancashire County Cricket Club’s announcement of operating profit of £1,222,000 for the year ended 31 December 2016, which represents an increase of 60% on the previous year.

Gidney added: “AO.com is a hugely innovative, fast growing business, and we are extremely proud to continue our relationship with them. Lancashire CCC is all about history and this partnership is all about creating new history. We are looking forward to growing with AO; a business that is digital in its heart as we both progress our respective development journeys over the next few years.”
