Manchester’s Iconic Albert Hall on Peter Street will be the setting of something that its nineteenth century Methodist founders would probably never have envisaged.

John Lydon, Aka Johnny Rotten, one time member of the Sex Pistols and later Public Image Ltd will be talking about his autobiography Anger is An Energy: My Life Uncensored.

While known to today’s audience for his appearances on I’m a Celebratory Get me Out of here, Question Time and commercials for Country Life Butter and he will be appearing on the near opposite side of the road to where the Sex Pistols, according to legend were the catalyst to the launch of numerous Manchester bands after a gig at the Lesser Free Trade Hall.

John Lydon will be taking part in an exclusive no-holds-barred live onstage interview, discussing his turbulent life and his compelling career in music with DJ/writer Dave Haslam. He’ll also be signing copies of his autobiography

Tickets for the talk on the 9th October go on sale tomorrow and will no doubt be snapped up fairly quickly.
