Multi-sports retailer Decathlon is encouraging people across Manchester to get involved in its free 5K run this Sunday 17th June at Vernon Park in Stockport.

Welcoming runners of all ages and abilities, the event is designed to encourage people across the city to get fit, have fun and meet new people, whether you’re a competitive runner, jog to keep fit, or are putting on your running shoes for the first time.

Sunday’s event is part of Decathlon Sports Series, a range of free events taking place across the UK hosted by Decathlon’s expert team-mates.

Hannah Burgon, manager at Decathlon’s Stockport store said: “We want to make it easy for everyone to enjoy sport, and this run is a great opportunity to have fun while exercising. We’re encouraging people of all ages and abilities to come along, so even if the thought of getting into sport is a little daunting, we will be there to support you every step of the way.

“As Sunday is Father’s Day, we’d love to see plenty of Dads come along with their families too!”
