Calling all Mancunian entrepreneurs – Accelerate Places is launching a pitch competition with the chance to win a £30,000 business support package.

Manchester is full of entrepreneurs, SMEs, developers and innovators and the Dragons’ Den-style pitch night invites individuals and teams to present their ideas to a panel of experts from around the UK.

The winner will be awarded a £30,000 prize bundle, to include cash investment, desk space, expert mentoring to help set up or ‘scale up’ their business, web hosting, a user review, public relations consultancy, event marketing, brand and business coaching, promotional video content and a professional photo shoot.

Accelerate Places is to host the competition at the workspace in the city centre on 31st October and businesses are encouraged to pitch their ideas in front of representatives from Blenheim Chalcot – backers of leading firms such as Clearscore, TDX Group, and Liberis – and around 20 other key investors.

The prize will be presented to the most innovative, dynamic and convincing pitch team along with a £5,000 cash prize, six months free desk space at Accelerate Places Manchester and the opportunity to work alongside like-minded peers in a collaborative, contemporary environment.

The winner will receive expert consultations from Manchester businesses such as UK Fast, Toast PR, The Simplifiers, Campus Capital, Userfy, Juke Media, Conspicuous Marketing and many more.

Lisa Murgatroyd, Community Manager at Accelerate Places says: “Manchester is buzzing with talented entrepreneurs trying to get their foot in the door and we’re offering a great opportunity to kick start their idea. We know that Manchester is full of talent and innovation and we’re excited to see the pitches presented to us”.
