Police have made an arrest in connection with the death of a women in Moston yesterday.
Offices were called to an address on Kinver Road in after the body of a 46-year-old woman was found.
Formal ID has yet to take place however police believe the woman to be Chrissy Kendall.
This afternoon a 46-year-old man was arrested after being found in a car in a carpark in Failsworth. He is now in police custody for questioning.
Detective Superintendent Phil Reade from GMP’s Serious Crime Division said: “My thoughts are with Chrissy’s family at this devastating time. Specially trained officers are with them and I have a full investigative team working on getting them the answers to the questions they are quite rightly asking.
“This afternoon we have arrested a 46-year-old man in connection with the murder however our enquiries will continue so we are still appealing for the public to get in touch if they have any information about what happened yesterday.”
