The inquests into the deaths of the twenty two victims of the Manchester Arena attack have been opening individually and adjourned this morning.

The Coroner Nigel Meadows praised the “unbelievable dignity and strength of spirit” of the bereaved families during the hearing and paid tribute to emergency services and in particular the crime scene investigation team.

He also paid tribute to the work of bereavement nurses, family liaison officers and mortuary staff.

A minute’s silence was held at the start of the inquests

The inquests are expected to reopen in November.
