The event, held on Corporation Street in Manchester on Sunday was a protest condemning anti-Semitism in the Labour Party.

It followed compliants  of anti-Semitic behaviour within the party, and specifically from its leader Jeremy Corbyn which have dominated the Party’s agenda over the summer.

The rally was also attended by British chief rabbi Ephraim Mirvis as well as local Labour MP’s Lucy Powell and Kate Green and Deputy Mayor of Greater Manchester Beverly Hughes

At the rally,Powell said says we must challenge, question and stand up to those espousing antisemitism. “silence is complicity. Not challenging is complicity. I will challenge and I will question alongside you” while Green added: “I stand with the Jewish community and I always will”

At the end of a moving and powerful rally thee was a recital of national anthem: God Save the Queen.
