Hollingworth Lake Visitor Centre has announced its autumn events programme, with a variety of activities on offer to keep residents entertained.

Among the activities available will be:

Hollingworth Lake Handmade Craft Fairs – Sunday 14, 21 September, 11:00am-3:00pm

Guests are invited to browse amongst a vast array of handmade crafts including cards, candles, teddy bears and jewellery.

Make your own sock monkey – Wednesday 24 September, 10:30am – 12:30pm

An informal morning with everything you need to produce this traditional gift. Tickets will cost £8 including refreshments, booking is essential.

Autumn Foray – Sunday 28 September, 1:30pm

Join Dave Winnard on this autumn forage through the woodland to find food for free. These events are always popular and places are limited, so book early to avoid disappointment.

Map reading for beginners – Sunday 5 October, 9:30am – 4.00pm

Come along to learn basic navigation and map reading skills with experienced mountain leader Mark Archer. He’ll take you through the skills you need before you head off into the hills to practice.

This event will cost £25 and booking is essential, make sure to bring a packed lunch and appropriate clothing for all weathers and terrain.

All of the above events will start or take place at Hollingworth Lake Visitor Centre, Rakewood Road, Littleborough, OL15 0AQ.
