Regency Residential has successfully had planning permission granted to construct a 174-apartment development in Old Trafford.

The property and advisory firm, part of MCR Property Group, submitted plans for the 16-storey building, known as Trafford Plaza, earlier in March this year following consultation with Trafford planners which started in October 2016.

The development will have unrivalled views over Seymour Park and the Manchester City skyline and will bring 64 one-bedroom and 110 two-bedroom much needed new build apartments to the market.

Regency Residential Managing Director Chris Taylor, said:
“Bringing 174 high-spec apartments to the area, which is located in close proximity to the internationally known football and cricket grounds, is another example of the exciting projects we are bringing forward.

“Predominantly, development in the area has been in the form of Permitted Development (office to residential) and we are delighted to offer the first major, high quality, new build scheme in the area which will lift the area due to the quality of design.

“Now we have received the go-ahead, we will be launching the development to the market very soon. To reserve a property, a £1,000 reservation fee is required and a 10 per cent deposit is paid on legal exchange. Regency Residential is a privately funded outfit meaning all monies are kept securely with third parties.”

Regency Residential was launched at the start of the year and has already exceeded the £20 million mark in generating sales to both homeowners and private investors across the UK.

He added: “We are grateful to the planning officers who provided a very professional, responsive, firm, clear and diligent service throughout.

“Having secured permission to launch Trafford Plaza, we are in the process of submitting planning for two 1000+ unit schemes in Manchester and Birmingham amongst numerous other planning applications we are currently running.”
