Manchester Camerata’s new season has been announced as its inspirational Music Director, Gábor Takács-Nagy has just signed a contract until 2019.

Among the highlights, Phenomenal violinist Nicola Benedetti returns for an all-Mozart programme, and fellow BBC Young Musician Jennifer Pike performs Vaughan Williams’ much-loved Lark Ascending. 

Chart-topping guitarist Miloš Karadaglić plays Rodrigo’s famous Concierto de Aranjuez at the Bridgewater Hall season opener. 

Camerata also welcome back acclaimed pianist Jean-Efflam Bavouzet to record another Chandos disc – this time Mozart Piano Concertos; cello sensation Giovanni Sollima performs with stunning principal cello, Hannah Roberts, and former leader Giovanni Guzzo will light up the stage with visionary pianist Gabriela Montero. 

In a new departure for the 15/16 season, wethe outstanding Norwegian trumpet player, Tine Thing Helseth, will be curating a very personal UpClose series, with music ranging from Jazz and Folk to Classical.  Tine performed a sell-out concert last season and this more in depth collaboration with her is just one of many ongoing creative partnerships which are a feature of the new season.
The opening concert is on Saturday 26 September at The Bridgewater Hall.
