This July, Ben & Jerry’s is embarking on their Blown Away Tour and visiting Manchester’s Patagonia Store with FREE scoops of ice cream

It’s all as part of their Blown Away campaign to raise awareness on the benefits of onshore wind and how you can help to make a greener future.

The ice cream activists are rocking up at Manchester Patagonia Store (51 Kind St. Manchester M2 7AZ) on 7th July to give out free scoops of their new wind-themed flavours, including Strawberry Breeze-cake, Cherry Gale-cia and Caramel Blew-Blew to everyone.

You’ll also get to learn more about the positive impact of onshore wind energy and get the chance to sign up to the Blown Away petition which is urging the UK government to remove planning blocks currently on onshore wind.

Rebecca Baron, Social Mission Manager at Ben & Jerry’s said: “If we want to move away from polluting fossil fuels and build a future based on clean energy, then wind power is a vital ingredient. We’re calling on people to get behind our campaign by signing the petition and asking the government to give wind energy the support it needs.”

Ellie Roberts, Campaign Manager at 10:10 Climate Action, added: “The Blown Away campaign is about inspiring people to use their combined power to speed up a move towards clean, renewable energy. Supporting onshore wind energy in the UK will help protect the climate from irreparable damage, and people power can make a huge difference.”

To sign the petition, visit www.benjerry.co.uk/climate. A full list of supporters will be handed in to the UK government ahead of the publication of their new planning policy framework.
