Four more people have been arrested this morning in connection with the shooting of a man in his own home in Prestwich at the end of last month.

Two men, aged 28 and 23, on suspicion of attempted murder and two women, aged 30 and 20, on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder by police in Bury.

A forty nine year old man is still in hospital receiving treatment for life changing injuries after three masked men  forced their way into his property.

Three men have already been charged with attempted murder in connection with the investigation.

Detective Inspector Jonathan Kelly of GMP’s Bury Borough said “We currently have four people in custody who are being questioned as we speak.

“We are over two weeks on from this truly shocking incident; however we continue to have a team of detectives working tirelessly on this investigation to bring those people responsible to justice.

“I would continue to appeal for anybody with information to please come forward and contact police.”
