Four people have been arrested after a shooting in Rochdale on Monday afternoon which left a 24 year old man in hospital with serious leg injuries.

Yesterday, two men – aged 27, 28 – were arrested along with a 56-year-old woman and they all remain in custody for questioning.

Today, a 29-year-old woman was arrested and she also remains in custody for questioning.

Enquiries are ongoing say police

Detective Inspector Julie Maxwell, of GMP’s Rochdale division, said: “A man has been left with potentially life changing injuries and we are determined to establish the full circumstances surrounding this incident.

“Whilst we have three men in custody, our investigation is very much ongoing and I would urge anyone with any information to get in touch as soon as possible.

“We are continuing to treat this as an isolated incident and would encourage anyone with any concerns to either approach officers in the area or call police.”
