A former Hyde resident who left school at sixteen and later set up a multi million pound business is to join the panel at the hit BBC show Dragons Den.
Jenny Campbell is the founder and CEO of YourCash Europe, a pan European business providing cash machines to the retail market.
Jenny will join fellow newcomer Steve Parish along with original Dragon Peter Jones, Deborah Meaden who joined in series three and Touker Suleyman who joined in series 13.
The fifty five year old was born into a family of business-focused bankers, builders and printers, attended Manchester Grammar School for Girls and left school at 16, joining NatWest as a cash-counter and cashpoint filler.
Jenny Campbell says: “As a fan of Dragons’ Den I’m very excited to be taking my seat in the line-up and bringing my own unique style to the Den. I’m looking forward to using my extensive business skills to spot the next generation of entrepreneurs and help them realise their business dreams.”
Campbell is married and lives in rural Suffolk with her husband and Flatcoated retrievers. She has two grown up sons, one of whom is the founder of the successful London restaurant, Kricket.
She is involved in charities and projects that support entrepreneurs and disadvantaged young people. This includes working with two charities, Young Enterprise and Tomorrow’s People.
Filming starts on the new series later this month and the show will return to BBC Two later in the year.
