To celebrate the change of seasons, Manchester Arndale is hosting its Social Butterfly event in Exchange Court on Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th October.
This brand new event is calling upon its stylish shoppers to pull together key pieces from its retailers’ AW collections and share their creations via their social media channels.
Lisa Hawkins, Head of Marketing for Manchester Arndale, explains more; “During the Social Butterfly weekend, our shoppers will be guided through a series of interactive experiences offering them the chance to create perfect fashion-focused social media content to be shared on their own Instagram feed using the hashtag #MASocialButterfly.
“We all know fashion is a competitive business, so we’re adding in our own element of competition by offering the shopper who secures the highest amount engagement from their followers with an impressive £1000 gift card to update their AW17 wardrobe.”
To keep the fashionistas on their toes, a digital leaderboard at the event will be monitoring the social sharing and engagement figures, and will showcase the top 5 Social Butterflies at any one time. It’ll be a fun flight to the top – so get those miniature handbags at the ready and don’t forget to tell friends and family to view (and like!) your content.
Lisa added; “We don’t want our Social Butterflies to worry they’re not Instagram ready so we’ll have lots of help on hand to get them to the top of the board, including professional stylists to run their ideas past, professional make-up artists to apply the must have AW17 palates before that all-important selfie, presentations from our retailers offering top tips on this seasons fashion must-haves and of course a Boomerang Booth – so they can perfect their Instagram pout to help them bag that £1000 gift card prize.”
