The service by Deliveroo aims to deliver quality food from local restaurants direct to people’s doors, as the company is embarking on a nationwide rollout plan, encompassing London, Brighton and now Manchester.

The service will span the city to deliver a selection of premium dishes from both leading independent and chain restaurants.

The Manchester operation opens with a restaurant roster including local favourites such as La Bandera, Sapporo Tepanyaki, Umezushi, Ocean Treasure, Ning, Yang Sing and Tampopo, with others listed on the Deliveroo website.

Menu items will be transported to homes and offices across the city via a fleet of delivery mopeds, electric bikes and pushbikes.
