Coronation Street actor Bruno Langley has been charged over an alleged sex attack on a woman at the Band on the Wall nightclub in Manchester’s Northern Quarter.
Langley who was sacked by the ITV soap yesterday faces two counts of sexual assault after the incident in the early hours of 1 October at the venue on Swan Street.
Greater Manchester Police said a woman in her 30s reported that she had been sexually assaulted.The actor, who denies theclaims, is understood to have been among cast members there who had gone to see ex-Corrie colleague Craig Charles perform a DJ set.
Langley who lives in Altrincham will appear in front of magistrates on the 28th November.
TV bosses are scrambling to re-work scenes where Langley’s character Todd Grimshaw was set to appear and have confirmed that his last appearance will be on the 24th December.
