A goal in the second minute of injury time saw Droylsden crash out of the Intergo League Cup after having fought back from two goals down at the Butcher’s Arms.

Steve Foster’s goal for Radcliffe Borough continued the Bloods run of bad form after two superb strikes by Dominic Smith and substitute Danny Hewitt had seemed destined to send the cup tie into penalties.

Droylsden found themselves two goals down at Half Time after a lacklustre first half display had seen Steve Foster getting onto the end of a Richard Smith cross after seventeen minutes to fire Borough into the lead and Matthew Davies running through the middle to give the away side a two goal cushion.

But the Bloods came out a different team in the second half with Dominic Smith firing home after latching onto a quick throw from Billy Hassler Cregg put the home side on the front foot.

It was all one way traffic as the home side pressed for the equaliser,James Hampson heading just over from a Shaquille Antione Clarke cross and the same player was denied by Cheetham in the Borough goal.

Substitute Dan Hewitt equalised picking up the ball outside the area and hammering home which seemed to have sent the tie to penalties.

But deep into injury time, the Bloods gave the ball away in their own half and the subsequent cross found the feet of Steve Foster to put Radcliffe into the second round.
