Christmas is well and truly arriving at Salford’s Swinton Square! Taking place from Saturday 9th December, and then every Saturday before Christmas Day, Swinton, Salford and Worsley locals are invited to come along and enjoy three weekends of free, festive, family fun!
It will be the perfect way to celebrate the most wonderful time of the year, and there will even be a magical visit from the big man himself, Father Christmas!
Kicking off the flurry of festivities on Saturday 9th December at 10.30am, and then again on 16th and 23rd December, Swinton Square will be welcoming Salford City Academy to fill the old market area with harmonious carols to get shoppers feeling the Christmas spirit! What’s more, from 12pm, visitors will be more than delighted to find out that everybody’s favourite ice princesses, Elsa and Anna, will be arriving at the square to star in a magical Frozen family show. It’s certainly a performance you won’t want the kids to miss out on!
Later in the afternoon, there will be another special visitor coming straight from the North Pole! Father Christmas will be turning up to Swinton Square from 2pm to 3pm to meet all the children and find out everyone’s Christmas wishes this year. He will also be handing out festive sweet treats, so don’t forget to get your hands on yours.

At each amazing FREE event, Swinton Square will also be revealing its “Swinton Sweep” winner, where every week one shopper will have the chance to spend £100 on site. The only catch being that they’ll only have half an hour to spend it! Those who want to enter will need to go to the Swinton Square Facebook page or pop into the centre management offices to enter.
