The ultimate destination for an indulgent chocolate experience has opened within the kitchen courtyard at Haigh Woodland Park.
With a wide range of products, Luisco Chocolate offers the perfect treat for every visitor, alongside bespoke chocolate selections – perfect for special occasions, including birthdays, weddings and corporate events.

Signature classic items include bars, bonbons and hot chocolate stirrers, all lovingly made in Wigan and any chocolate design can be customised with a hand painted finish that is truly unique to the customer.

Talking about her new venture Luisco Chocolate owner Colette Alexander said: “I’m really excited to bring Luisco Chocolate to the kitchen Courtyard. Haigh Woodland Park offers the perfect opportunity and location to expand my business and having previewed many of the products in a pop-up venue within the kitchen courtyard over the summer, we have had really great feedback.”

Luisco Chocolate started business in June 2014 and has grown from a home based ‘chocolate room’ to the newly opened premises in the kitchen courtyard. With unique products and beautiful presentation the chocolatier is likely to become a destination for chocolate lovers across the region.

All Luisco Chocolate products are free from wheat and gluten and their dark chocolate is dairy free, catering for a wide range of dietary requirements and the company is proud to support sustainably grown cocoa – supporting the cocoa farmers who cultivate it.

Councillor Paul Kenny, cabinet member for leisure at Wigan Council said: “Finding innovative companies that will enhance our portfolio of artisan products from across the region is the goal of the kitchen courtyard.

“Luisco Chocolate has a unique philosophy and is a welcome addition to the high-quality local produce that visitors are currently enjoying in Haigh Woodland Park.”
