Celebrating 35 years of flying travellers between the UK and Hong Kong this year, Hong Kong’s premium airline will be bringing the ‘Cathay Pacific Experience’ to Manchester’s Spinningfields for three days from 9 – 11 June.
Free to attend and open to the public from 10am until 3pm and 4pm until 6pm daily, Cathay Pacific will be showcasing three of its four cabins from the award-winning airline together for the first time. Visitors will have the chance to try out the comfort of the airline’s Economy, Premium Economy and Business Class seats, as well as being able to sample non-alcoholic cocktails in the lounge area.

Bringing a taste of the Far East and Australasia to Manchester, Cathay Pacific will be serving up a range of fruity and refreshing, non-alcoholic cocktails at selected times of the day. Cocktails will be inspired by destinations that the airline flies to, including China, Australia, Japan, Hong Kong and Bali.

Angus Barclay, Cathay Pacific’s General Manager UK & Europe, commented: “2015 is a particularly important year for the airline as we mark its 35th anniversary of flying business and leisure travellers from the UK to Hong Kong and beyond, ensuring they can enjoy a life well travelled. We were delighted to launch our new route from Manchester to Hong Kong just over six months ago, and demand continues to be strong.

“We know that travelling well is an important part of living well, and if you travel well, your trip becomes more memorable and more rewarding. That’s a philosophy that has been shared by the airline for almost 70 years, and something we are keen convey to visitors at the Cathay Pacific Experience.

“We’re therefore proud to be showcasing three of our four cabins in one place for the first time, and hope that visitors enjoy the event and experiencing our product first hand.”

Whilst soaking up the ‘Cathay Pacific Experience’, visitors will have the chance to win two return Premium Economy flights to one of Cathay Pacific’s top 10 destinations, including Hong Kong, Australia, New Zealand, Thailand and Japan, by entering a special competition on Twitter and Instagram.  Visitors can also be in with a chance of winning a pair of business class flights by simply registering in advance of visiting the stand at www.cathaypacific.co.uk/experience to receive their boarding pass with a unique QR code. The code will be scanned when they arrive at the Cathay Pacific Experience and they will be entered into the prize draw.
