Mancunians will be excited to hear that a brand-new Slug and Lettuce bar is opening in Manchester Piccadilly! Formerly a Missoula bar, the venue is being completely transformed following a £400,000 investment.

With doors opening on the 24th September, the bar will bring an extra layer of sophistication and is set to be the new go-to place in Manchester, whether it be for a ‘Get Together’ with the girls, a bite to eat or a drink after work.

The venue will be decorated in the signature Slug and Lettuce style with minimal yet elegant décor and a light, bright colour scheme. The outside seating area – known to some as Manchester’s best kept secret – is also being extended, and with a pergola and plenty of outdoor heaters, it is set to provide the perfect setting whatever the weather.

From Tapas Tails, a flight of three cocktails and the indulgent Baileys Iced Latte to the Giant Pornstar Martini, which is perfect for groups, the extensive cocktail list will leave no-one disappointed. For those counting the calories, Gancia Leggero Prosecco, exclusive to Slug and Lettuce, has 75% less sugar but all the taste. What’s more, customers will also be able to try the new Absolut Lime, the latest addition to the core range of flavours, providing a refreshing citrus taste.

The vast food menu will also entice every palette with the Small Plates section offering everything from crispy fried jalapeño slices served with paprika sour cream to cured meat antipasti. What’s better is that customers will be able to share them around at the cost of £18 for five dishes. The launch of the Sweet & Petite segment offers a selection of sumptuous desserts including cookie crumb profiteroles drizzled in chocolate flavoured sauce and the zesty lemon and lime tart wedges. Perfect for picking, at just £5 for two!

Throughout the week, the bar will also be offering great value deals for its customers. Starting the week with the ‘Wine Down Wednesday’ offer providing selected bottles of wine or Gancia Dry Prosecco for just £12. On top of this, the Wine and Dine deal runs from Monday to Friday providing punters with a bottle of house wine and three small plates for just £20.

Shelley Matier, General Manager at Slug and Lettuce Manchester Piccadilly, said: “We are so excited for the launch of the new bar and know from other venues across the country that the Slug and Lettuce format is one which customers love and enjoy. The venue is looking fantastic and we can’t wait to welcome our first guests, be they from Manchester or beyond!”

Opening hours: Sunday – Tuesday9am-11pmWednesday and Thursday9am – midnightFriday9am – 1am and Saturday9am – 2am.
